Financial Considerations
Personal attendant services are provided through the Area Agency on Aging (AAA). Generally costs are based on a fee-for-service and are not covered by any insurance providers. In some cases, older adults of limited income may be eligible to receive financial assistance through the AAA. Contact the AAA in your county for information on how your income is used to determine the amount of assistance.

Commercial Insurance
Commercial insurance does not cover personal attendant services.

Managed Care Insurance
Managed care insurance does not cover personal attendant services.

Medicare
Medicare does not cover personal attendant services.

Medical Assistance
Medical Assistance does not cover personal attendant services.

U.S. Veterans Benefits
U.S. Veterans Benefits does not cover personal attendant services.

Your Out-Of-Pocket Costs
Typically, patients must pay for personal attendant services on a fee-for-service basis.
