What is Independent Living Housing?
Independent Living housing can range from group living that has no kitchen facilities within each apartment to independent apartments with full kitchen facilities. Most independent living facilities have limited or no on-site provision for medical services.

UPMC Independent Living residences promote an active lifestyle and offer a full program of activities and entertainment. Residents can select from studio-efficiency or one-or two-bedroom apartments. Residents can bring their own furniture, automobiles, and even pets. All housekeeping and maintenance is included in the monthly fee.
