Aging Institute Senior Services

In addition to providing professional resources, the Aging Institute brings together educational, research and clinical programs at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. Clinical services include:

  • inpatient and outpatient specialty care
  • home care including home health nursing, durable medical equipment, infusion and respiratory therapies, physical rehabilitation, and hospice
  • mental health & psychiatric services
  • dental care
  • pharmacy services
  • long-term care & retirement housing
  • physical rehabilitation services

For the 700,000 western Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, quality of life involves far more than medical care – it also includes social, spiritual, financial, legal, and ethical concerns. The Aging Institute connects information on a wide range of these issues, with the goal of helping older adults get the services they need. Information about the Institute’s comprehensive services is available on the older adults site.
