Residents

By choosing a residency program at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, residents gain experience in one of the largest academic geriatric divisions in the United States — one of a select group of academic medical centers (including Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Yale, and the University of California, Los Angeles) that have been designated National Centers of Excellence by the John A. Hartford Foundation.

University of Pittsburgh Residency Training Programs

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine offers opportunities for residents to gain experience in geriatric medicine and psychiatry. Residents from any school of medicine program may elect a rotation in geriatric medicine:

• University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine Residency Training Programs
  This includes a Geriatric Track. The rotation exposes residents to a comprehensive clinical experience with a foundation in geriatric medicine.
  
• University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine Residency Training Programs
  
• Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic Residency Training Program
